General Requirement for Self-Employed Person

1. Experience – Time: Two 1-year period of full time work experience in an eligible rile in the last five years before the date of application.

2. Occupation – (a)One year self-employment or (b)one year participation at a world-class level cultural activities or athletics, or combination of (a) and (b)

3. Demonstrate intention and ability: To continue these cultural/athletic activities to self-support in Canada and make a significant contribution to the specified economic activity.

4. Dmonstrate intention and ability: Can be proven through a comprehensive business plan, business experience, partners, exploratory visit, sufficient funds, finances etc.


Eligible Occupation for Self-Employed Person:

NOC group 51: writer, translator, creative artist

NOC group 52: library worker, keeper, photographer, image and graphic designer and editor, creative designer, athlete, coach, etc.

Non NOC group 51 and 52: Social Media Influencer, Architect, Tattoo Artist etc.


Self-Employed Persons Point System:

Federal self-employed immigrants are scored according to their age, language, experience, educational background, spouse's education and past study and work experience in Canada. The pass mark is 35 points out of 100 points.

Our services:

We will learn about your situation and intention during the initial consultation. Based on the applicant’s actual situation, we provide useful and practical advice. Our service include,

· Provide the client with requirements and suggestions on self-employed person application;

· Inform the client of the forms and documents to be submitted when applying;

· Assist the client to fill in relevant forms and submit them;

· Provide full guidance to the client during the application process, review all the client's documents and ensure the consistency and accuracy of the contents of the documents;

· Guide the client to go through the physical examination and safety review procedures and obtain the required physical examination certificate and safety review certificate;

Government application fee: $1575 self-employed application fee, $500 permanent resident rights fee (principal applicant, spouse), $1325 spouse application fee, $225 immigration application fee (each child aged 22 and below, if applicable), $85 (or $170 per family) biometric fingerprint information collection fee.

Other expenses: medical examination, document translation expenses, mailing expenses, no crime record certificate, etc.
