Super Visa

Super visa is a multiple-entry visa, which allows a PR or Canadian citizen’s parents or grandparents to stay in Canada for up to 2 years once. If you only stay for 6 months or less, please refer to a visitor visa.

Benefits of applying for a super visa:

1. Super visa allows your parents or grandparents to stay in Canada for up to 2 years each time.

2. You can accompany your children and grandchildren in Canada.

General requirement for applying for a super visa:

1. Your children or grandchildren are Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada.

2. You have an invitation letter from your children or grandchildren including: the commitment to provide financial support during your visit, the number of people in the household of your (grand)children, and the documents showing their permanent residents or citizens status in Canada

3. You have an insurance policy of a Canadian insurance company for at least one year with an coverage amount of CAD $100,000.

4. In addition, the Immigration officer will also consider your travel purpose, close tie with your home country, family and financial status, and economic and political factors of your home country.

The financial support documents for your children or (grandparents) grandchildren include:

1. Proof of income: NOA or T4 / T1 of the latest tax return year.

2. Employment letter

3. Paystub

4. Recent bank statements
